Before dealing with the topic of the Fish in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. The Fish is mentioned 64 times in the Bible and six times in the Quran, i. e. the Bible mentions the Heap more than 10 times as does the Quran. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and more than 10 times (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about the Fish.

The Fish in the Bible:

The Lord says: 1) “I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst”, 2) “I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt,” 3) “I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish sticking to your scales”, 4) “I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish of your streams. You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air” and 5) “I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea”

Isaiah 50:2

By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.

Ezekiel 26:5

Out in the sea she will become a place to spread fishnets, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD. She will become plunder for the nations,

Ezekiel 26:14

I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt, for I the LORD have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.

Ezekiel 29:4

But I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish sticking to your scales.

Ezekiel 29:5

I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish of your streams. You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air.

Ezekiel 38:20

The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

Hosea 4:3

Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying.

Zephaniah 1:3

“I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea…declares the LORD.

Habakkuk 1:14 contradicts with the sciences and with 1 Corinthians 15:39

Habakkuk 1:14

You have made men like fish in the sea, like sea creatures that have no ruler.

1 Corinthians 15:39

All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh; animals have another, birds another and fish another.

Ask the animals, the birds, the earth, or the fish to teach you!

Job 12: 7- 8

But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you;

or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you.

The Lord Jesus’ Tax:

Matthew 17:27

Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours. “

Genesis 1:26

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea…

Genesis 1:28

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea…

Psalm 8:8

the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.

Genesis 9:2

The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea…

Exodus 7:18

The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink; the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water. ‘ “

Exodus 7:21

The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.

Psalm 105:29

He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.

Numbers 11:5

We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost (for free)—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic.

Numbers 11:22

Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?”

Deuteronomy 4:18

or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below.

1 Kings 4:33

He (Solomon) also taught about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.

The Fish Gate is found in:

2 Chronicles 33:14, Nehemiah 3:3, Nehemiah 12:39 and Zephaniah 1:10

Nehemiah 13:16

Men from Tyre who lived in Jerusalem were bringing in fish and all kinds of merchandise…

Ecclesiastes 9:12

Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net…

Ezekiel 47:9

Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

Ezekiel 47:10

Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Great Sea.

Amos 4:2

The Sovereign LORD has sworn by his holiness: “The time will surely come when you will be taken away with hooks, the last of you with fishhooks.

Jonah 1:17

But the LORD provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights.

Jonah 2:1

[Jonah's Prayer] From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God.

Jonah 2:10

And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Matthew 7:10

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

Matthew 12:40

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 13:47

…the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.

Matthew 13:48

When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.

Matthew 14:17, Mark 6:38, Luke 9:14, John 6:9

“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

Matthew 14:19

And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish …

Matthew 15:34, Mark 8:7

…and a few small fish. “

Matthew 15:36

Then he took the seven loaves and the fish,

Mark 6:41, Luke 9:16, John 6:11

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven…. He also divided the two fish among them all.

Mark 6:43

and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish.

Luke 5:6

When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

Luke 5:9

For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,

Luke 11:11

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

Luke 24:42

They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

John 21:1

[Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish] Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples,

John 21:3

“I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them…

John 21:5

He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered.

John 21:6

… they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

John 21:8

The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.

John 21:9

When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.

John 21:10

Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught. “

John 21:11

Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.

John 21:13

Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

Allah made lawful to you is the fished of the sea and its use for food

The Fish in the Quran:

When talking about the Fish, the Quran presents the following subjects:

1)	When Moses met his Teacher

2)	The Israelites and the trial of the Fish

3)	Allah made lawful to you is the fished of the sea and its use for food

4)	The Benefits of the Sea (Fish to eat, ornaments to wear and ships for travels and transportation)

When Moses met his Teacher:

18:61-66

[61] But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel.

[62] When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: “Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey. ”

[63] He replied: “Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish; none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!”

[64] Moses said: “That was what we were seeking after:” so they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).

[65] So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.

[66] Moses said to him: “May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?”

The Israelites and the trial of the Fish

Surah 7: 163

Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression.

Surah 5:96, 97

[96] Made lawful to you is the fished of the sea and its use for food, for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game, as long as ye are in the Sacred Precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back.

[97] Allah made the “kaaba”, the Sacred House, an asylum of security for men, as also the Sacred Months, the animals for offerings, and the garlands that mark them: that ye may know that Allah hath knowledge of what is in the heavens and on earth and that Allah is well-acquainted with all things.

The Benefits of the Sea:

Fish to eat, ornaments to wear and ships for travels and transportation

Surah 16:14

It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear, and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful.

Surah 35:12

Nor are the two bodies of flowing water alike, the one palatable, sweet, and pleasant to drink, and the other, salt and bitter. Yet from each (kind of water) do ye eat flesh fresh and tender, and ye extract ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the Bounty of Allah that ye may be grateful.

Back to the main topic of my series of articles; this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “? And which book contradicts with sciences? And which book denies itself?

Forever means time without end, everlasting time; eternally, all times, incessantly, limitless time, without ever ending.

“He wants to live Forever but No one can live Forever”.

Forever is mentioned 290 times in the Bible and 14 times in the Quran.

How does the Bible use “Forever”:

The Forever Land:

The Lord Promised the Israelites to give them the “Land” Forever, while the history and the today news notify that this promise never happened. Moreover, the Bible says that “the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it Forever” and we all know that both the righteous and the “wicked” inherit the land and dwell in it.

Genesis 13:15

All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring Forever.

Exodus 32:13

Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance Forever. ‘ “

Joshua 14:9

So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children Forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly. ‘

2 Chronicles 20:7

O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it Forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

Psalm 37:29

The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it Forever.

Ruin Forever, never to be rebuilt.

Desolate Forever, no man will dwell in it

The Lord says that Hazor and other Biblical places will desolate and no man will dwell in such places Forever, however, these places are still full of life.

Deuteronomy 13:16

Gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. It is to remain a ruin Forever, never to be rebuilt.

Jeremiah 49:33

“Hazor will become a haunt of jackals, a desolate place Forever. No one will live there; no man will dwell in it. “

Jeremiah 51:26

No rock will be taken from you for a cornerstone, nor any stone for a foundation, for you will be desolate Forever,” declares the LORD.

The throne Forever

The peace Forever

The Lord promised that the throne of David and his descendants will remain secure before the Lord Forever and they will live in peace Forever. The History from David’s time up till now signifies that this Lord’s promise never achieved.

2 Samuel 7:13

He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom Forever.

2 Samuel 7:16

Your house and your kingdom will endure Forever before me ; your throne will be established Forever. ‘ “

1 Kings 2:33

May the guilt of their blood rest on the head of Joab and his descendants Forever. But on David and his descendants, his house and his throne, may there be the Lord’s peace Forever. “

1 Kings 2:45

But King Solomon will be blessed, and David’s throne will remain secure before the LORD Forever. “

1 Kings 9:5

I will establish your royal throne over Israel Forever, as I promised David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel. ‘

Psalm 89:29

I will establish his line Forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.

2 Chronicles 13:5

Don’t you know that the LORD, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants Forever by a covenant of salt?

The Lord sits over the flood as King Forever.

The Lord will dwell at the mountain Forever

The Lord rejected them Forever but He will not always accuse Forever. Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself

Psalm 29:10

The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King Forever.

Psalm 44:23

Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us Forever.

Psalm 68:16

Why gaze in envy, O rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign, where the Lord himself will dwell Forever?

Psalm 74:1

[ A maskil of Asaph. ] Why have you rejected us Forever, O God? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

Psalm 103:9

He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger Forever;

Isaiah 57:16

I will not accuse Forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me— the breath of man that I have created.

Live Forever

Live Forever is used six times in the Bible.

Of course there is nothing on the Earth that would or could Live Forever

1 Kings 1:31

Then Bathsheba bowed low with her face to the ground and, kneeling before the king, said, “May my Lord King David live Forever!”

Psalm 49:9

that he should live on Forever and not see decay.

Daniel 3:9

They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live Forever!

Daniel 5:10

The queen, hearing the voices of the king and his nobles, came into the banquet hall. “O king, live Forever!” she said. “Don’t be alarmed! Don’t look so pale!

Daniel 6:6

So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: “O King Darius, live Forever!

Daniel 6:21

Daniel answered, “O king, live Forever!

For this reason, one has to be cautious when interpreting the following two verses about the bread and blood of Jesus

The meaning of these two verses are only found in John and never mentioned in the other three Gospels.

John 6:51

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live Forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. “

John 6:58

This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live Forever. “

Priest Forever

Melchizedek is an unknown and an extremely vague person.

He is described as:” Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest Forever”. Jesus ranks in the order of Melchizedek.

However, it seems likely that Melchizedek is superior to Jesus because he has no mother while Jesus has a mother.

Psalm 110:4

The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest Forever, in the order of Melchizedek. “

Hebrews 5:6

And he says in another place, “You are a priest Forever, in the order of Melchizedek. “

Hebrews 6:20

Where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest Forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 7:3

Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest Forever.

Hebrews 7:17

For it is declared: “You are a priest Forever, in the order of Melchizedek. “

Hebrews 7:21

but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: ‘You are a priest Forever. ‘ “

Hebrews 7:24

but because Jesus lives Forever, he has a permanent priesthood.

Destroyed Forever

I wonder why the Bible deals with Esau like that.

It is Jacob who was unfair to his brother Esau and cheated him.

Obadiah 1:10

Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed Forever.

Love Forever

The Love Forever means killing of mighty kings

Psalm 136:18

And killed mighty kings— His love endures Forever.

Sleep Forever

Is there sleep Forever?

Jeremiah 51:39

But while they are aroused, I will set out a feast for them and make them drunk, so that they shout with laughter— then sleep Forever and not awake,” declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 51:57

I will make her officials and wise men drunk, her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will sleep Forever and not awake,” declares the King, whose name is the LORD Almighty.

Leprosy Forever

Is there leprosy Forever?

2 Kings 5:27

Naaman’s leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants Forever. ” Then Gehazi went from Elisha’s presence and he was leprous, as white as snow.

Womb enlarged Forever

Is there Womb enlarged Forever?

Jeremiah 20:17

For he did not kill me in the womb, with my mother as my grave, her womb enlarged Forever.

Wandering stars Forever

Scientifically speaking there are no Wandering stars neither ever nor Forever!

Jude 1:13

They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved Forever.

How does the Quran use “Forever”:

Scientifically speaking, there is nothing Forever on the Earth. Everything and anything should have an end.

The Quran never uses “Forever” for anything on the Earth.

The Quran uses “Forever” for the Afterlife.

The Believers: Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them Forever

Surah 4:57

“And (as for) those who believe and do good deeds, we will make them enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them Forever; they shall have therein pure mates, and we shall make them enter a dense shade”

Surah 4:122

“And (as for) those who believe and do good, we will make them enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein Forever; (it is) a promise of Allah, true (indeed), and who is truer of word than Allah?”

Surah 5:119

“Allah will say: this is the day when their truth shall benefit the truthful ones; they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide in them Forever: Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Allah; this is the mighty achievement”

Surah 9:21-22

21- Their lord gives them good news of mercy from himself and (his) good pleasure and gardens, wherein lasting blessings shall be theirs;

22- Abiding therein Forever; surely Allah has a mighty reward with him”

Surah 9:100

Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with him, and he has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them Forever; that is the mighty achievement”

Surah 18:1-3

1- (All) praise is due to Allah, who revealed the book to his servant and did not make in it any crookedness”

2- Rightly directing, that he might give warning of severe punishment from him and give good news to the believers who do good that they shall have a goodly reward,”

3- Staying in it Forever”

Surah 64:9

“On the day that he will gather you for the day of gathering, that is the day of loss and gain; and whoever believes in Allah and does good, he will remove from him his evil and cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein Forever; that is the great achievement”

Surah 65:11

“an messenger (Mohammad) who recites to you the clear communications of Allah so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, he will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers now, to abide therein Forever, Allah has indeed given him a goodly sustenance”

The Unbelievers: hell, to abide in it Forever

Surah 4:168-169

168- Surely (as for) those who disbelieve and act unjustly Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to a path;

169- Except the path of hell, to abide in it Forever, and this is easy to Allah

Surah 33:64-65

64- Surely Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a burning fire,

65- To abide therein Forever; they shall not find a protector or a helper

Surah 72:22-23

22- say: surely no one can protect me against Allah, nor can i find besides him any place of refuge:

23- (It is) only a delivering (of communications) from Allah and his messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and his messenger surely he shall have the fire of hell to abide therein Forever.

The following verses summarize the fate of Human beings in the Afterlife.

Surah 98:6-8

6- Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein Forever; they are the worst of men

7- (as for) those who believe and do good, surely they are the -best of men

8- Their reward with their lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein Forever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with him; that is for him who fears his lord

Back to the main issue of my series of articles (1-37); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Isaiah 51:16

I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand

Psalm 17:8

Hide me in the shadow of your wings

Psalm 36:7

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Psalm 57:1

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

Psalm 63:7

Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

James 1:17

The Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

What is in heaven has Shadow

Hebrews 8:5

They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven.

The Shadow of death

The Bible states that the death has shadow and there are the valley of the shadow of death and the land of the shadow of the death.

Job 38:17

Have the gates of death been shown to you? Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death ?

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Isaiah 9:2

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

Matthew 4:16

the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. “

Luke 1:79

to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace. “

The Evening Shadows

Job 7:2

Like a slave longing for the evening shadows, or a hired man waiting eagerly for his wages,

Nehemiah 13:19

When evening shadows fell on the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I ordered the doors to be shut and not opened until the Sabbath was over. I stationed some of my own men at the gates so that no load could be brought in on the Sabbath day.

Psalm 102:11

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

Psalm 109:23

I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.

Jeremiah 6:4

“Prepare for battle against her! Arise, let us attack at noon! But, alas, the daylight is fading, and the shadows of evening grow long.

The Deep shadow

Job 10:21

Before I go to the place of no return, to the land of gloom and deep shadow,

Job 10:22

To the land of deepest night, of deep shadow and disorder, where even the light is like darkness. “

Job 12:22

He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light.

Job 3:5

May darkness and deep shadow claim it once more; may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm its light.

Job 16:16

My face is red with weeping; deep shadows ring my eyes;

Job 34:22

There is no dark place, no deep shadow, where evildoers can hide.

Isaiah 59:9

So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.

The Shadow and the ten steps

2 Kings 20:9

“This is the Lord’s sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?”

2 Kings 20:10

It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps,” said Hezekiah. “Rather, have it go back ten steps. “

2 Kings 20:11

the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.

Isaiah 38:8

I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz. ‘ “So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.

Our days on earth (few and meaningless) are like a fleeting shadow, without hope

1 Chronicles 29:15

Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.

for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.

Ecclesiastes 8:13

Yet because the wicked do not fear God, it will not go well with them, and their days will not lengthen like a shadow.

Some other facts about the Shadow

You mistake the shadows of the mountains for men

Judges 9:36

“You mistake the shadows of the mountains for men. “

Isaiah 16:3

Make your shadow like night

Isaiah 25:5

Heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud

Isaiah 32:2

Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

Isaiah 34:15

The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings; there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate.

Jeremiah 48:45

“In the shadow of Heshbon the fugitives stand helpless

Lamentations 4:20

We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.

Colossians 2:17

These are a shadow of the things that were to come

Acts 5:15

at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.

Hebrews 10:1

The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming

The Shadow in the Quran:

Two Historical Shadows

The Quran mentions two important Historical Shadows; one of them is the Shadow for Moses and the Israelites and the other is the Shadow for The people of the Prophet “Shu’aib” and their grievous day of punishment.

These two events are not found in the Bible.

The Shadow for Moses and the Israelites

Israelites

Surah 28:24

So he (Moses) watered (their flock) for them. then he turned aside into the shade, and said: my lord! i am needy of whatever good thou sendest down for me.

Surah 7:160

We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and we inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: smite with thy staff the rock! and there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. and we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. they wronged us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.

Surah 7:171

and when we shook the mountain over them as if it were a covering overhead, and they thought that it was going to fall down upon them: take hold of what we have given you with firmness, and be mindful of what is in it, so that you may guard (against evil)

Surah 2:57

And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: “Eat of the good things We have provided for you:” (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own selves.

The Shadow furnished for people of the Prophet “Shu’aib” who denied him and their grievous day of punishment. The Prophet “Shu’aib” is never mentioned in the Bible. Is that because He was Arabic?

Surah 26:189

But they rejected and denied him (Shu’aib) and called him a liar (Shu’aib) then the punishment of the day of overshadowing gloom seized them, surely it was the punishment of a grievous day

Some facts about the Shadow:

Allah extends the shade; if He pleases He would certainly have made it stationary and then have made the sun an indication of it. Scientifically speaking, the shade will be stationary when the Earth stops its circular movement about itself. In such case, half of the Earth will be day and the other will be night.

So, the sun is the indicator for such event. Who could do that? It is Allah the Creator of the Sun.

Surah 25:45

Have you not considered (the work of) your lord, how he extends the shade? And if he had pleased he would certainly have made it stationary; then we have made the sun an indication of it

All things that Allah has created have their shadows and prostrate unto Him.

Surah 16:48

Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly?

Surah 16:81

it is Allah who made out of the things he created, some things to give you shade; of the hills he made some for your shelter; he made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. thus does he complete his favors on you, that ye may bow to his will (in Islam).

Surah 35:21

19 and the blind and the seeing are not alike

20 nor the darkness and the light,

21 nor is the shadow equal with the sun’s full heat;

The Shadow at the Day of Judgment

At that horrible day, everything is already judged in justice.

Man is one of two, believer or unbeliever; each one has his own Shadow.

The Coming of Allah:

Surah 2:210

Wait they for naught else than that Allah should come unto them in the shadows of the clouds with the angels? Then the case would be already judged. All cases go back to Allah (for judgment).

The Shadow for those who believe; this meaning is not mentioned in the Bible.

Surah 4:57

And as for those who believe and do good works, we shall make them enter gardens underneath which rivers flow – to dwell therein for ever; there for them are pure companions – and we shall make them enter plenteous shadow.

Surah 36:56

They and their associates will be in a pleasant shadow, reclining on thrones (of dignity);

Surah 76:14

And the shades of the (garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility (being easy to reach).

Surah 56:30

In shade long-extended,

Surah 77:41

as to the righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).

The Shadow for those who do not believe; this implication is not cited in the Bible

Surah 56:43

And the shade of black smoke

Surah 77: 28-31

28 ah woe, that day, to the rejecters of truth!

29 (it will be said “Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!

30 “depart ye to a shadow (of smoke ascending) in three branches,

31 “(which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce blaze.

32 indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as palaces,

Surah 56:43

And the shade of black smoke

The following verse summarizes the Shadow for the believers and the unbelievers.

Surah 13:35

a likeness of the garden which the righteous are promised; there now beneath it rivers, its food and shades are perpetual; this is the requital of those who guarded (against evil), and the requital of the unbelievers is the fire

The Host of heaven in the Bible:

The sun, and the moon, and the stars are the host of heaven

Deuteronomy 4:19

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

Deuteronomy 17:3

And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

The LORD is sitting on his throne surrounded by all the host of heaven (Sun, moon and stars).

1 Kings 22:19

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

2 Chronicles 18:18

Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

They worshipped all the host of heaven

2 Kings 17:16

And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

2 Kings 21:3

…. and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

2 Kings 21:5

And he built altars for all the host of heaven

2 Kings 23:4

…all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven:

2 Kings 23:5

…burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

2 Chronicles 33:3

…and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

2 Chronicles 33:5

And he built altars for all the host of heaven

Nehemiah 9:6

…and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Jeremiah 19:13

…they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

Zephaniah 1:5

And them that worship the host of heaven…

Acts 7:42

Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven;

The entire host the heavens were made by the Lord’s the breath of his mouth

Psalm 33:6

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

The Lord commanded the host the heavens

Isaiah 45:12

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

They shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

Jeremiah 8:2

And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.

The host of heaven cannot be numbered

Jeremiah 33:22

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured:

The queen of heaven

Jeremiah 44:25

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

It cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

Is it possible to cast down some of the stars to the ground?

Which is very huge in size in comparison to the Earth? Some stars or the earth?

Daniel 8:10

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

A multitude of the heavenly host praising God with the angel

Luke 2:13

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

The Host of heaven in the Quran:

The hosts of the heavens and the earth are belonged to Allah

Surah 48:4

it is he who sent down peace of reassurance into the hearts of the believers, that they may add faith to their faith;- for to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is ever knower, wise -

Surah 48:7

For to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is exalted in power, ever mighty, full of wisdom.

The guardians of the hell are 19 Angels.

None can know the hosts of Allah but Allah.

Surah 74:31

and we have set none but angels as guardians of the fire (hell); and we have fixed their number only as a trial for unbelievers,- in order that the people of the book may arrive at certainty, and the believers may increase in faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the people of the book and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say, “what symbol doth Allah intend by this?” thus doth Allah leave to stray whom he pleaseth, and guide whom he pleaseth: and none can know the hosts of your lord but he himself, and this is no other than a warning to mankind. ( this is naught else than a reminder unto mortals)

When this verse had revealed, the ignorant Arabs who denied the Quran said that they could easily beat these 19 Angels; every 12 men will grasp and cast down one Angel. They believed they would beat the 19 guardians of the hell then will go forth to the paradise. They were very ignorant and had no idea about the size of an Angel. The size of one small Angel may be more than the size of the entire Earth.

The verse also says that none can know the hosts of Allah but Allah.

Allah knows the total number, the sizes, the consistency, the job and everything about His hosts.

It should be emphasized that the Quran mentions two types of Allah’s hosts, the hosts of the heaven and the hosts of the Earth.

If we –for example- consider the microbes as the hosts of the Earth; could anyone knows their total numbers? The number of microbes inside your body or in soil is far away from your thoughts.

Another big difference between the Quran and the Bible is that the Bible considers the sun, moon and stars as the hosts of the heaven while the Quran considers them as creatures which represent signs for Allah the almighty (41:37).

Surah 41:37:

Among his signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it is him ye wish to serve.

The Outcome of the Rains in the Bible:

1)	The Lord Commands:

2)	I will command the clouds not to rain

3)	I will send a plague among my people

4)	I also withheld rain from you

5)	I will rain down bread from heaven

I will command the clouds not to rain

Isaiah 5:6

I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it. “

Send a plague among my people

2 Chronicles 7:13

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

I also withheld rain from you

Amos 4:7

“I also withheld rain from you when the harvest was still three months away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up.

I will rain down bread from heaven

Exodus 16:4

Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you.

The Lord says: you have the brazen look of a prostitute; you refuse to blush with shame.

Jeremiah 3:3

Therefore the showers have been withheld, and no spring rains have fallen. Yet you have the brazen look of a prostitute; you refuse to blush with shame.

Say to the land, ‘You are a land that has had no rain

Ezekiel 22:24

“Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has had no rain or showers in the day of wrath. ‘

The Rain and Fire, Burn, destruction and the Lord’s anger

I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on many nations! Why many nations?

Ezekiel 38:21-22

21- I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man’s sword will be against his brother.

22- I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.

Deuteronomy 11:17

Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you.

Deuteronomy 28:24

The LORD will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.

Luke 17:29

But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

Isaiah 28:2

See, the Lord has one who is powerful and strong. Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind, like a driving rain and a flooding downpour, he will throw it forcefully to the ground.

Ezekiel 13:13

“‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.

Rain down his blows upon him

Job 20:23

When he has filled his belly, God will vent his burning anger against him and rain down his blows upon him.

It fell with a great crash

Matthew 7:27

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash. “

Without fruit

Jude 1:12

These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.

The Effects of the Rains on the Earth:

The rain made the trees grow

Isaiah 44:14

He cut down cedars, or perhaps took a cypress or oak. He let it grow among the trees of the forest, or planted a pine, and the rain made it grow.

Regular weeks of harvest

Jeremiah 5:24

They do not say to themselves, ‘Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest. ‘

Because there is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads.

Jeremiah 14:4

The ground is cracked because there is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads.

Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it

Hebrews 6:7

Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.

He gave them the grain of heaven.

Psalm 78:24

He rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven.

Let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide

Isaiah 45:8

“You heavens above rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it.

Send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.

2 Chronicles 6:27

then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.

He gave them the grain of heaven.

Psalm 78:24

He rained down manna for the people to eat; he gave them the grain of heaven.

Let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide

Isaiah 45:8

“You heavens above rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it.

It yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

Isaiah 55:10

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

Giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons

Acts 14:17

Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy. “

The heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

James 5:18

Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

The Fear and Terror

1 Samuel 12:18

Then Samuel called upon the LORD, and that same day the LORD sent thunder and rain. So all the people stood in fear of the Lord and of Samuel.

They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining

Acts 28:2

The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold.

Be patient

James 5:7

[Patience in Suffering] Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains.

These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time

Revelation 11:6

These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

Tender plants

Deuteronomy 32:2

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

Rained meat

Psalm 78:27

He rained meat down on them like dust, flying birds like sand on the seashore.

Honor is not fitting for a fool

Proverbs 26:1

Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool.

Driving rain that leaves no crops

Proverbs 28:3

A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.

North wind brings rain

Proverbs 25:23

As a north wind brings rain, so a sly tongue brings angry looks.

The Outcome of the Rains in the Quran:

The Rain is a great blessing.

Surah 50:9

And we send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and we produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests;

The Rain has certain measure.

Surah 13:17

SHAKIR: he sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables

Surah 39:21

do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then makes it go along in the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith herbage of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then he makes it a thing crushed and broken into pieces? most surely there is a reminder in this for the men of understanding

The Rain is for Drink and Plant formation

Surah 16:10

He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture

The Rain makes the Earth Green

Surah 22:63

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud so the earth becomes green? Surely Allah is benignant, aware

The Rain Produces Plants, Fruits, and Trees etc.

Surah 2:22

Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know

Surah 6:66

And He it is Who sends down water from the cloud, then we bring forth with it buds of all (plants), then we bring forth from it green (foliage) from which we produce grain piled up (in the ear); and of the palm-tree, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters (of dates) within reach, and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, alike and unlike; behold the fruit of it when it yields the fruit and the ripening of it; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe

Surah 14:32

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and sent down water from the clouds, then brought forth with it fruits as a sustenance for you, and he has made the ships subservient to you, that they might run their course in the sea by his command, and he has made the rivers subservient to you

Surah 20:53

He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky. ” with it have we produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.

Surah 27:60

Nay, He Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water from the cloud; then we cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens; it is not possible for you that you should make the trees thereof to grow. is there a god with Allah? nay! they are people who deviate

Surah 31:10

He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and he spread in it animals of every kind; and we sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind

Surah 35:27

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then we bring forth therewith fruits of various colors; and in the mountains are streaks, white and red, of various hues and (others) intensely black?

The Rain gives life to the Dead Earth; this is for people who would listen and understand.

Surah 16:65

And Allah has sent down water from the cloud and therewith given life to the earth after its death; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who would listen

Surah 29:63

And if you ask them who is it that sends down water from the clouds, then gives life to the earth with it after its death, they will certainly say, allah. say: all praise is due to Allah. nay, most of them do not understand

Surah 30:24

And one of his signs is that he shows you the lightning for fear and for hope, and sends down water from the clouds then gives life therewith to the earth after its death; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.

Allah is capable to give life to the Dead, the same way as the Rain gives life to the Dead Earth! You may notice that the Quran always makes link between the scientific facts and the religious notions. You may also notice that the Quran always reminds us with the Revival of the Dead, the Afterlife and the Day of Judgment.

These meaning are not found in the Bible.

Surah 43:11

And he who sends down water from the cloud according to a measure, then we raise to life thereby a dead country, even thus shall you be brought forth;

Before dealing with the topic of the PLAY in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. The PLAY is mentioned 45 times in the Bible (KJV) and 19 times in the Quran, i. e. the Bible mentions the PLAY more than two times as does the Quran. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and more than twice (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about the PLAY.

In this series, the topic of the Play is classified into six parts, herein is the first part, that is Does the Lord play?

Does the Lord play? In the Bible:

The Lord said that the backsliding Israel, played the harlot

Jeremiah 3:6

The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

Hosea 4:15

Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, The Lord liveth.

The evil spirit from the Lord (God) was upon Saul

1 Samuel 19:9

And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

1 Samuel 16:23

And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

1 Samuel 18:10

And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.

David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord.

2 Samuel 6:5

And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

2 Samuel 6:21

And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.

1 Chronicles 13:8

And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

David was dancing and playing but Michal despised him in her heart.

1 Chronicles 15:29

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

Let the Lord command to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on a harp in order to calm down the evil spirit from the Lord.

1 Samuel 16:16

Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

1 Samuel 16:18

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.

The Lord does that which seemeth him good.

2 Samuel 10:12

Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the Lord does that which seemeth him good.

when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.

2 Kings 3:15

But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.

=====

Does the Lord play? In the Quran:

Allah created the heavens and the earth (and us) NOT in PLAY!

Surah: 21, Verse: 16

It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them.

Surah: 44, Verse: 38

And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play.

It is the People who are playing even when listening to their Lord’s message(s).

Surah: 21, Verse: 2

there comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord, except that they play with it as they listen

Herein is an example of a conversation between a Messenger and his people:

Surah: 21, Verse: 55-56

55] They said: ‘Is it the truth you have brought us, or are you one of those that play? ‘

56] ‘no, ‘ he answered, ‘your lord is the lord of the heavens and the earth, the originator of them, and i am among those bearing witness to it.

Herein is a question from Allah to whom who it may concern:

Surah: 23, Verse: 115

Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us? ‘

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 71); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

The Spaceship in the Bible:

There was a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

So, the angels ascend to heaven on a stairway.

Genesis 28:12

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind after the sudden appearance of chariot of fire and horses of fire

2 Kings 2:11

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

The Spaceship in the Quran:

The Quran predicts that the Astronauts (Space-Travelers) are those who do not believe in Quran, They achieve space traveling, they will appear to us. Astronauts inside the Spaceship have couches on which they recline (lie back). Moreover the Quran says that the Spaceship has doors and Silver will be used in the Spaceship; also, gold and other additional stuff will be used in the Spaceship.

The Ignorant Arabs at the time of revelation of Quran thought that the big and important man is the one who is very wealthy and powerful.

They thought that such a big man is the one who deserves to be the prophet of Allah. Mohammad was not as wealthy as some famous men at the time of revelation of Quran; hence, He does not deserve to be the Prophet of Allah.

This was the way they thought.

Allah answered them by a simple fact; it is Allah’s will to make some people wealthy and others poor. Allah makes mankind different in many ways like his power, activity, education, health, wealth, mentality etc.

The reason for such difference is to make all of them cooperate and help each other to compensate and fulfill the difference between them.

We all need teachers, farmers, engineers, medical doctors etc. Allah does not make all of us similar, otherwise all of us would be farmers or medical doctors; in such case life would be impossible to carry on.

If Allah makes us different, then why you people deny the fact that He has the right to choose His Prophet?

This was the Quranic answer to the ignorant Arabs.

Then the Quran says that, Allah could make all of the disbelievers having spaceship but he would not because His will is to create people different from each other.

Then the Quran gives the few descriptive outlines for any Spaceship.

In my article: Bible versus Quran versus Sciences, Array (47) Space Travel: Straight or geodesics? We knew the significance of the verb “Araga”, which indicate ascending to the space in Geodesics line not in straight lines.

The noun of the verb “Araga” is “Miraj” and its pleural form is “Ma-arej”.

“Ma-arej” is mentioned twice in the Quran like that:

Surah 70:1- 4

SHAKIR: one demanding, demanded the chastisement which must befall

PICKTHAL: a questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall

YUSUFALI: a questioner asked about a penalty to befall-

SHAKIR: the unbelievers– there is none to avert it–

PICKTHAL: upon the disbelievers, which none can repel,

YUSUFALI: the unbelievers, the which there is none to ward off,-

SHAKIR: from Allah, the lord of the ways of ascent (maAraga)

PICKTHAL: from Allah, lord of the ascending stairways (maAraga)

YUSUFALI: (a penalty) from Allah, lord of the ways of ascent (maAraga).

SHAKIR: to him ascend (Araga) the angels and the spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years

PICKTHAL: (whereby) the angels and the spirit ascend (Araga)

Unto him in a day whereof the span is fifty thousand years.

YUSUFALI: the angels and the spirit ascend (Araga) unto him in a day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years:

When talking about how the Angels ascend unto Allah, the Quran says that they “Taarog” (the present tense of “Araga”) unto Him in a day that measure fifty thousand years. On the other hand, the Bible says that there was a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Herein the other use of the word “Ma-arej”

Here again we will notice that the three famous English translation of the Quran miss-translate the word “Ma-arej”.

“Ma-arej” is translated as stairs or stair-ways.

Stair in Arabic is “Sollam” not “Ma-arej”; and linguistically speaking there is a big difference between “Sollam” not “Ma-arej”. “Ma-arej” means to go up and ascend unto space in Geodesics line.

Verse 43:33 describe the house of the disbelievers in their “Ma-arej”, this “Ma-arej” house has a roof made in silver. Astronauts (Space-Travelers) who are inside these “Ma-arej” will ascend in space and will appear.

Herein, we have a fulfilled prophecy.

Astronauts (Space-Travelers):

Are the disbelievers (do not believe in Quran)

They achieve space traveling

They will appear to us (we all see them through TV channels)

Silver will be used in their “Ma-arej” houses (Spaceship).

I know that NASA use silver tubing in their water supply systems for space flights but I do not know if silver is used as a roof for the Spaceship but certainly it would one day.

Surah 43: 33

SHAKIR: and were it not that all people had been a single nation, we would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs (“Ma-arej”) by which they ascend (and appear (

PICKTHAL: and were it not that mankind would have become one community, we might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (“Ma-arej”) (of silver) whereby to mount (ascend and appear).

YUSUFALI: and were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, we would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) most gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways (“Ma-arej”) on which to go up (ascend and appear).

Another fact about the Spaceship:

The Spaceship has doors

Astronauts inside the Spaceship have couches on which they recline (lie back).

When we see People inside the Spaceship, they are lie back because there is no gravity over there.

Surah 43: 34

SHAKIR: and the doors of their houses and the couches (sofa-like), on which they recline (lie back),

PICKTHAL: and for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline,

YUSUFALI: and (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,

Also, gold and other additional stuff will be used in the Spaceship.

Surah 43: 35

SHAKIR: and (other) embellishments of gold; and all this is naught but provision of this world’s life and the hereafter is with your lord only for those who guard (against evil).

PICKTHAL: and ornaments of gold. yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. and the hereafter with your lord would have been for those who keep from evil.

YUSUFALI: and also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: the hereafter, in the sight of thy lord is for the righteous.

All of these embellishments, power and authority in this life are nothing when compared with the embellishments and happiness in the eternal life.

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 48); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “? And which book preceded the modern Sciences?

Before dealing with the topic of the “New” in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise.

“New” is mentioned 136 times in the Bible and eight times in the Quran, i. e. the Bible mentions “New” 17 times more than the Quran

In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and 17 times (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about “New”

“New” in the Bible:

In the Bible, The Lord says: “I will do a new thing, new things do I declare, I have shewed thee new things from this time” and the Bible says that the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, all things are become new, they are new every morning. However, the Bible declares that there is no new thing under the sun.

In addition, many things are “New” in the Bible and they are: Wine, Moon, Moons, Meat, Cart, Song, Testament, Man, Jerusalem, Garment, Heavens, Earth, House, Ropes Commandment, Gate, Covenant, Spirit, Cloth, Name, King, Wife, Cords, Jawbone of an ass, Sword, Cruse, Court, Way, Timber, Instrument, Tomb, Tongues, Sepulcher, Lump, Creature, and Newborn.

“New” Thing(s):

The Lord says: “I will do a new thing, new things do I declare, I have shewed thee new things from this time” and the Bible says that the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, all things are become new, they are new every morning. However, the Bible declares that there is no new thing under the sun.

The Lord is always making “New” things:

Isaiah 42:9 …new things do I declare…

Isaiah 43:19 …I will do a new thing…

Isaiah 48:6 …I have shewed thee new things from this time,

Jeremiah 31:22 …the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth,

Lamentations 3:23, they are new every morning

Matthew 13:52 …his treasure things new and old.

Acts 17:21 …some new thing

2 Corinthians 5:17 …all things are become new.

Revelation 21:5 … I make all things new…

However, the Bible says that there is no new thing under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:9

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:10

Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

What if some men have provoked the Lord?

Numbers 16:30

But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.

The New Wine and Drinking:

New Wine is mentioned 18 times in the Bible in Nehemiah 10:39, Nehemiah 13:5, Nehemiah 13:12, Proverbs 3:10, Isaiah 24:7, Isaiah 65:8, Hosea 4:11, Hosea 9:2, Joel 1:5, Joel 1:10, Joel 3:18, Haggai 1:11, Zechariah 9:17, Matthew 9:17, Mark 2:22, Luke 5:37, Luke 5:38 and Acts 2:13.

Luke 5:39

No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

Furthermore, “New” is mentioned more than ten times, more than three times, twice and once in the following verses:

New and living way in Hebrews 10:20

Newborn babes in 1 Peter 2:2

“New” in the Quran:

The Quran says that Allah can easily replace mankind with a New Creation. Then the Quran uses “New” in a deep theological meaning that is the Afterlife and meeting the Lord, the Almighty Creator.

The Ignorant Unbeliever Arabs denied the Afterlife and put some questions about it, the Quran provides the answer for their questions, gives the outcome of the Unbelievers who deny the Afterlife and grants a Reward for them

Allah can easily replace mankind with a New Creation:

14:19

do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth? if he will, he can remove you and bring (in your place) a new creation?

35:15-16

[15] o mankind! You are the poor in your relation to Allah. it is you who are in need of Allah. and Allah! he is the absolute, the rich, the self-sufficient, the one free of all wants, worthy of all praise.

[16] if he will, he can take you off and bring (instead of you) a new creation.

What the Ignorant Unbeliever Arabs Said about the Afterlife:

17:49

they say: “what! when we are reduced (turned to) to bones, and dust (broken bits and decayed particles), shall we really be raised up, being a new creation?

32:10

and they say: “what! when we have become destroyed and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a creation renewed? Nay, they deny, they are disbelievers in the meeting with their lord.

34:7

the unbelievers say: ‘shall we show you a man who will tell you that when you have become dispersed and have been utterly torn into pieces you will be raised in a new creation?

This is the answer for their question:

50:15

Were we then getting tired or fatigued with the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are confused and in doubt about a new creation.

And this is the outcome of the Unbelievers:

13:5

if you would wonder, then wondrous is their saying: ‘when we are dust, shall we be raised to life again, a new creation? ‘ such are those who disbelieve in their lord. their necks shall be fettered. they shall be the inhabitants of the fire, in it they shall dwell and live for ever.

What a Reward!

17:98

that is their reward (recompense) because they disbelieved our revelations and said: when we are bones and fragments shall we, forsooth, be raised up as a new creation?

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 62); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

In addition, the Bible has the prospective of more than 17 times than the Quran topic-wise to utter about the Clouds.

The rainbow in the clouds is the sign of the covenant between the Lord and the earth.

Genesis 9:13

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Genesis 9:14

Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

Genesis 9:16

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. “

Ezekiel 1:28

Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

The Lord came down in the cloud is in a pillar of clouds, and appearing in the cloud,

… there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.

Exodus 34:5

Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD.

The LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.

Numbers 11:25

Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke with him,

Numbers 12:5

However, Tahpanhes is also covered with clouds!

How to be like the Lord? If you ascend above the tops of the clouds.

What about the passengers on a flight?

Isaiah 14:14

I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. “

Nahum 1:3

This prophecy never happened.

Mark 14:62

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven. “

Luke 9:34

While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

Luke 12:54

[Interpreting the Times] He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does.

Revelation 14:14

[The Harvest of the Earth] I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one “like a son of man” with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

The Clouds in Quran

Many Scientific tips in one verse:

Surah 2:164

Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the Night and the Day; in the sailing of the ships through the Ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts (creatures )of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds and the clouds which they trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth, (here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.

In this verse, many Scientific tips are mentioned as signs for the wise people e. g. :

Allah created the heavens and the earth

Allah made alternation of the Night and the Day

Allah causes the sailing of the ships through the Ocean

Allah sends the rain down from the sky.

Allah gives the life to the dead earth.

Allah generates the creatures and scatters them through the earth

Allah makes changes of the winds

The clouds between sky and the earth are obey Allah’s will.

There is no verse in the entire Bible that gives all of these meanings at a time.

There are scientific and theological correlation between clouds, rain, and the dead land and the revival of dead people.

Surah 7:57

It is He Who sendeth the Winds like heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy: when they have carried the heavy-laden clouds, We drive them to a land that is dead, make rain to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith ; Similarly We Shall raise up the dead perchance ye may remember.

Herein we have the sequences of events that are cloud, rain, dead land, and life of the dead land. The One who is capable to do this is in turn capable to raise up the dead man for the Day of Judgment.

The Quran is almost always reminding us with the afterlife.

This deep and important theological issue is not mentioned in the Bible.

The Wind fertilize the clouds.

Surah 30:48

It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until thou seest rain-drops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of His servants as He wills, behold, they do rejoice!

Surah 13:12

It is He Who doth show you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope: it is He Who doth raise up the clouds, heavy with (fertilizing) rain!

Surah 15:22

And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud therewith providing you with water (in abundance) to drink, though ye are not the guardians of its stores.

These verses (30:48, 13:12 and 15:22) talk about the fertilized clouds. It was after the revelation of the Quran by 1300 years that Meteorologists discovered that clouds are negatively and positively charged. It is the role of the wind (as the Quran stated) to fertilize the clouds and leading then to rain.

The Unbelievers thinking is like many layers of darkness over each other.

Surah 24:40

Or (the Unbelievers’ state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! For any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light!

The Scientific relation between clouds, hail and lightning.

Surah 24:43

Seest thou not that Allah makes the clouds move gently, and then joins them together, then makes them into a heap (stack)? then wilt thou see rain issue forth from their midst. And He sends down from the sky mountain masses (of clouds) wherein hail is: He strikes therewith whom He pleases and He Turns it away from whom He pleases. The vivid flash of His lightning well-nigh blinds the sight (nearly blinds the sight).

Meteorologists explore the details of cloud formation, structure, and function by using sophisticated equipments like planes, satellites, computers, balloons, etc. in order to study wind and its direction, to measure humidity and its variations, and to determine the levels and variations of atmospheric pressure.

The preceding verse, after mentioning clouds and rain, speaks about hail and lightning. Meteorologists have found that these cumulonimbus clouds, that shower hail, reach a height of 25,000 to 30,000 ft (4. 7 to 5. 7 miles) like mountains, as the Quran said, “. . . And He sends down hail from mountains (clouds) in the sky. . . ”

This verse says “its lightning” in a reference to the hail? This means that hail is the major factor in producing lightning. Meteorologists today say that a cloud becomes electrified as hail falls through a region in the cloud of super cooled droplets and ice crystals. As liquid droplets collide with a hailstone, they freeze on contact and release latent heat. This keeps the surface of the hailstone warmer than that of the surrounding ice crystals. When the hailstone comes in contact with an ice crystal, an important phenomenon occurs: electrons flow from the colder object toward the warmer object. Thus, the hailstone becomes negatively charged. The same effect occurs when super cooled droplets come in contact with a hailstone and tiny splinters of positively charged ice break off. These lighter positively charged particles are then carried to the upper part of the cloud by updrafts. The hail, left with a negative charge, falls towards the bottom of the cloud, thus the lower part of the cloud becomes negatively charged. These negative charges are then discharged as lightning. It may be concluding from this that hail is the major factor in producing lightning. This information about lightning given by the Quran was only discovered after the revelation of the Quran by 1300 years.

Back to the main issue of my series of articles; this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible and which book preceded the sciences”?

Before dealing with the topic of the Stars in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to give some statistical hints.

The total words in the Bible are 788,280 while total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times than the Quran to exhibit its topics.

Back to the Stars, they are mentioned 35 times in the Bibles and 9 times in the Quran.

The Stars in the Bible:

In 13 verses, the Lord kept promising that the numbers of the children of Israel will be too much the same as the number of the Stars.

Examples of such verses are:

Genesis 22:17

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the Stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Genesis 26:4

And I will make thy seed to multiply as the Stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

Deuteronomy 28:62

And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the Stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

1 Chronicles 27:23

But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the Stars of the heavens.

As we know, There are about 100,000,000,000 (100 Billion) Stars in the Milky Way and the question is: does the number of the children of Israel came close to that number of Stars?

In Job 38:7:

When the morning Stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

As far as I know, the scientists never say that the Stars sing!

Also, I wonder who the sons of God (Pleural form) are.

In Psalm 147:4:

He telleth the number of the Stars; he calleth them all by their names.

The scientists could roughly figure out the number of the Stars but I believe they have no idea about the names of all the 100,000,000,000 (100 Billion) Stars present in the Milky Way.

Not only that, but in Jude 1:13:

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering Stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

I can not recall any scientist talking about wandering Stars!

The Stars in the Noble Quran:

In Surah 6: 97:

It is He Who maketh the Stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our Signs for people who know.

The Quran is talking about the guidance value of the Stars in darkness. Also, the Scientists said that Pole Stars are often used in celestial navigation. While other Stars’ positions change throughout the night, the pole Stars’ position in the sky does not. Therefore, it is a dependable indicator of the direction north.

In Surah 16: 12

He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the Sun and the Moon; and the Stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise.

The Stars are signs for the wise men. Hence the study of Stars needs wise men. Why is that?

The mighty swear:

Allah Who created the Stars swear with their positions and HE told us that this swear is great and mighty IF WE KNOW!

In Surah 56: 75-76

Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars and I swear with their positions, And that is indeed a mighty adjuration (great swear) if ye but knew,

When we look at the night sky we see Stars in different positions depending on the time of night. We also see different groups of Stars depending on the time of year. The reason we see Stars move during the night is because the Earth spins.

The Earth orbits the Sun in one year and in one year you will see many different groups of Stars in the sky. These groups are the constellations. Because the Earth orbits the Sun you will see different constellations, for example, at night in the winter months than in the summer. The Stars themselves exhibit motion relative to each other. Using repeated overlapped CCD scans (up-to-date sophisticated technique); positions for 661,591 Stars have been established, however with some errors.

As far as I know, There are 100,000,000,000 (100 Billion) Stars in the Milky Way, of which some 50 Million are cataloged.

Up my knowledge, which is admittedly limited in Astronomy, To plot “all the Stars in our galaxy” is undoubtedly impossible.

Hence, to determine the positions of the Stars is a very big issue that is out of human competence.

Now, do you realize and accept the value of Allah ‘ swear by the positions of the Stars.

The great issue of the positions of the Stars in the Quran is NEVER mentioned in the Bible.

We are in need of sciences and wisdom and intellectual people to determine precisely the positions of the Stars.

That is why, ALLAH said:

“Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars and I swear with their positions, And that is indeed a mighty adjuration (great swear) if ye but knew”

This means that if we know we would realize the value of Allah’ swear.

The mighty swear is for what?

If you admit that Allah’ swear is great and mighty, then I recommend you read Surah 56: 75-81 to know what is the reason for Allah’ swear.

Also, I may ask you this question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible? And which book look good with sciences? The book which talks about the wandering or the singing Stars or the one which talks about the great issue of the positions of the Stars!
